MEETING TO LAUNCH THE MISSION TO DRAW UP A MASTER PLAN FOR THE INFORMATION SYSTEM OF THE CUSTOMS DIRECTORATE GENERAL (CDG)

The information system master plan is a document that enables an organisation to optimise its operations, improve its performance and provide innovative solutions for its internal operations and for its users.
This was the framework of the kick-off meeting for the mission to set up an information system master plan (ISMP) for the Directorate General of Customs (D.G.D) of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, held in December 2020 between the D.G.D project teams and the QUALISYS Consulting team.
The SDSI to be put in place aimed to provide the D.G.D. with a central information system resulting from a platform for merging all the fragmentary systems for steering economic policy and promoting sub-regional economic integration, which would be directly connected to the systems of other public administrations providing economic, monetary and financial policy data.

The main objective of this meeting was to present and clearly discuss the scope of the project, including but not limited to the approach to carrying out the assignment, the methodological approach, a summary of the main deliverables, the overall project schedule and the organisation of the project with the various stakeholders.

The Information Systems Department has identified the main workstreams, the implementation of which should enable the information system to be the main lever that the Customs Department (D.G.D.) will use to achieve its vision.
Successful implementation of these projects has required a global approach to information systems governance and enterprise architecture. The D.G.D. therefore needed to draw up an Information System Master Plan (ISMP) for the next five (5) years.
